MTVSL

This is a programmable effects unit that I built for my MA in creative media technologies. The idea was to have a high quality multi effects unit that could be constantly refined and updated simply by connecting it to a computer via a usb cable. The audio engine that does all the processing is Csound and this runs on a Raspberry Pi. The various buttons and pots are connected to the Pi via an Arduino Mega which in turn uses Pure Data to relay OSC messages to Csound. There are loads of issues with this pedal such as the fact that Pi doesn’t fit in the enclosure and the communication between PD and Csound could be more streamlined but it was a good proof of concept and really helped my understanding of low level programming and working with the Pi in general.
